Carbonyte UK, are launching the first of their Supercar Series cars
at Birminghams NEC.
The Ferrari Limo will be displayed at the European Limousine & Chauffeur Show 2007 on the 16th, 17th and 18th of September by Carbonyte UK Ltd.
The Limo show will be displaying vehicles form all the top American coachbuilders as well as executive vehicles for the chauffeur industry.
Paul Miles, the Director of the show is delighted Style Limousines were able to make the vehicle available to display, as he feels it will be a major attraction to compliment the already impressive line-up of vehicles.
Carbonyte UK debuted their Anarchy Stretch Range Rover at last years show, but have gone one better for this years show launching the first of their Supercar Series, the Stretched Ferrari Limo to the trade and general public.
The Ferrari was first designed in late 2006, and Carbonyte started the extensive modification process in early 2007 by first filming the cutting of the vehicle into two pieces. The film footage was then put on U Tube, to much hate from car lovers everywhere.
Lightweight Carbonfibre structures were manufactured for the chassis and roll cage and the huge gull wing doors.
Paul Spurling, the senior technician on the build said: the whole project was more challenging than we first thought, the biggest problem was getting the gull wing doors to work correctly, but following thousands of man hours, we made all the systems work for the new owner.
The new owner of this showcar is Limo Dan from Style Limousines in Cheadle Manchester, and is said to be very pleased with the outcome of this project and used it for the first time at his sisters wedding.
Dan has the supercar bug now and is talking to Carbonyte about a Lamborghini Mercelargo to be converted to add an additional 4 passengers complete with an additional rear axle for dramatic effect.
Chris Wright, Managing Director of Carbonyte UK said: we are delighted with the end result and also how it has been received. We ran the risk of the whole world hating the car, but everyone seems to love it, and that makes everything worthwhile, even Jean Todd, head of Ferrari said ‘it was amusing’
